  • What are the qualifications to register for a class?
    Students must be 18 years of age Valid ID High School Diploma or GED, *official transcrips will be reqired* Social Security Card *MUST HAVE ALL ITEMS BY THE FIRST DAY OF CLASS*
  • Is Stepping Stone Medical A Approved Training Center?
    Stepping Stone Medical is a proprietary school approved and licensed by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges. We have been approved by the National Healthcareer Association to offer exams for Phlebotomy, Medical Assisting, EKG, Medical Billing & Coding, and Medical Administrative Assisting. We are an approved testing site for the American Heart Association to offer CPR and Heart Saver courses.
  • Is there Financial Assistance?
    We do not accept financial aid. We offer affordable payment plans that can be set up during orientation.
  • In addition to registration, do I need to contact Stepping Stone Medical?
    It is not necessary to call our office. In fact, our website contains all the information you will need to register for class and hopefully will answer any and all of your questions. If however you should have a question that is not answered on this site please do not hesitate to call us directly at (833) 372-9253 during regular business hours.
  • Will I need any supplies for the class?
    - Please bring a pen or pencil for notes and notebook. - Must have a laptop. - Must have online access to the internet for the study guide and quizzes. - Please bring a laptop on the (LAST) day of class for the National Exam.
  • What should I wear to class?
    We provide a uniform shirt (excludes online classes and BLS courses). You are also required to wear closed-toe shoes (no open-toe shoes or sandals, this is a OSHA requirement for drawing blood.) Shorts, capri pants, or skirts above the ankles are NOT allowed to be worn (skirts must cover both your legs completely). If your hair is past your shoulders it must be pulled back. Nails must be active length. We do strictly abide by this policy.
  • Do I need to register for the class?
    Registration is absolutely mandatory, as we must have a certain amount of registrants in order to hold the class. Registration closes (2) days prior to the class start date or once the class is full (which ever comes first).

    Call our office at 833-372-9253 or send us an email to info@steppingstonemedical.com Our office hours are as follows: - Monday- Thursday: 9:00am – 5:00pm - Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm - Saturday: CLOSED - Sunday: CLOSED If you reach our voicemail after regular business hours please provide a detailed message and your contact number and one of our representatives will return your call during normal business hours. If you should reach our voicemail during regular business hours please leave a detailed message with your name contact number and the next available representative will return your call within 24 hours.
  • Cancellation and Refund Policy
    A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat. If a student is more than 10 minutes late they will not be allowed to attend class. If a student fails to show to their scheduled class (no call, no show) without prior notification, they forfit all monies paid, and must repay the registration deposit to reserve a seat in a future class. In the event that unforseen circumstances arise that prevent the student from attending their scheduled class, the student has (1) one time to reschedule to a diffrent class comimg up within 90 days. After 90 days the student will be required to repay the registration fee to reserve a seat. If a student has paid for traning in full prior to start date and must cancel for personal reasons, students will be charged 25% of tuition. If a student cancels after class has started, students will not receive a refund.
  • Do you offer job placement?
    Stepping Stone Medical can NOT guarantee jobs nor do we offer job placement. We do have employers that will hire students once completed with the program(s). For students to be considred for employment, they will have to pass a backround check and drug screen done by the employer.
  • Disclaimer
    We reserve the right to dismiss any student, at any time during their scheduled course, if they are suspected to be under the influence of any controlled substance or alchohol, if they are billigerent or exhibit hosility toward an instructor or fellow student, if they refuse to cooperate with the lead instrctor or if they exhibit behaviors unbecoming of a healthcare professional.
