Service Description
This course will prepare students to: - Draw blood from patients and blood donors - Evaluate patients ability to understand the procedure - Explain blood-drawing procedure to patients and answer questions - Perform basic point of care testing, such as blood glucose level - Prepare blood, urine and other specimens for testing - Verify patient/donor identity - Maintain medical equipment such as needles, test tubes and blood vials Class meets every Monday for 6 weeks or every other Saturday for 4 weeks. Morning: 10:00am - 12:00pm Evening: 6:30pm - 8:30pm Saturday: 9:00am - 12:00pm The registration fee of $100.00 non-refundable. The remaining $900.00 is due on the first day of class. We except Cash, Credit, or Debit cards. Personal checks are not accepted. Limited Seating & Registration: We require students to register before the class begins. A deposit of $100.00 is required to reserve a seat in the class. If a student elects not to attend the course the deposit is non-refundable. This fee includes: A uniform shirt, National Certification Exam through National Healthcare Association (NHA) plus, 24/7 access to the online study guide to get you prepared for the National Exam.
